My first foray into Open Studios fortnight started on the anniversary of D-Day which kind of puts things into perspective! No heights to scale, no beaches to fight over ... just hanging lots of lovely new paintings alongside those of a couple of good friends and fellow artists and wait on our appreciative viewers to arrive. And they did ... they came, they saw, they bought ... thankfully. Not only does that mean a few bob in aid of diabetic research but it helps keeps my modest ego fully inflated! So far ... we are two days in to a two week exhibition ... everyone has been lovely. They may not all love my work but they are kind with their feedback. It has been enjoyable and I'm already looking forward to seeing how the two weeks pans out.
